The BEAL COCOON chalk bag eliminates the draw-string and utilizes the Clic-Clac closure system that allows you to open and close the bag easily with one hand.
Psicobloc Comp
North America was graced with its first psicobloc (deep water soloing) comp. The competition took place at the Olympic Park in Park City, UT. As I watched the action take place, I couldn't wait to get home and watch all the huge falls happen in slow motion...so here you go.
Bouldering The Font
Amber Bettinger and Kibry McCoy spend three weeks in France's bouldering paradise, The Font. The climbs featured in this video include: Fata Morgana Low 8a , Graviton 7a, La Science Friction 6a, Le Mouton 6c, Noir Desire 7c, and Sale Grosse Sit 7c.
Please note that I only did the editing for this video. Sadly enough, I did not go to France and shoot the video.
Disco Duck
A slew of Liberty Mountain employees headed out to the canyon after work for an even session on the rocks. The evening was spent climbing the routes in The Waterfront area of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The featured route on this video is called Disco Duck and is climbed by Sam Perkins.
The Chalk Pot: Weekly Top Videos - 1/14/13
For a year and a half now, I've played around with a social media platform called The Chalk Pot where I post links to cool climbing videos, and sometimes blog posts, on Facebook and Google+. I've been tempted to create a website/blog for it, but I just can't justify managing another blog solely for that reason yet. So I'm going to use my personal blog as a testing-ground for what would go on a stand-alone site for The Chalk Pot. If it looks like these The Chalk Pot posts get a lot of views and comments, then I'll go ahead and transition into a TheChalkPot.com site.
This week's top videos come from Joe Kinder, Bear Cam Media, and LT11. The first video features Joe Kinder and Chris Sharma as they play on the steep limestone cliffs in Spain. Then we head to Colorado with the next video where Daniel Woods snags the 3rd ascent of a proud line in the Flatirons. Last but not least, we have an awesome video of Ben Spannuth doing some hard stuff in the New River Gorge. Pop some popcorn and enjoy!
